มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง ได้รับการรับรองให้เป็นหน่วยงานที่มีหลักสูตรอบรมด้านความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพและการรักษาความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพ หลักสูตรเลขที่ สธ. 0621.06/6157 ลงวันที่ 5 พฤศจิกายน 2568 จากกรมวิทยาศาสตร์การแพทย์ กระทรวงสาธารณสุข โดยส่วนบริหารงานวิจัย มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง เป็นผู้ประสานงานการยื่นขอรับรองหลักสูตร รวมทั้งจัดทำเอกสารจนได้รับการรับรองอย่างเป็นทางการ ซึ่งขับเคลื่อนร่วมกับคณะกรรมการควบคุมความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง (MFU-IBC) ทั้งนี้การรับรองหลักสูตรนี้มีอายุตั้งแต่วันที่ 5 พฤศจิกายน 2568 ถึงวันที่ 5 พฤศจิกายน 2573
กรมวิทยาศาสตร์การแพทย์ได้พิจารณาเห็นว่า มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงมีความพร้อมและสมบูรณ์ทั้งในด้านบุคลากร สถานที่ และรายละเอียดของหลักสูตรที่เป็นไปตามเกณฑ์ที่กำหนด จึงออกการรับรองเพื่อยืนยันว่ามหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงเป็นหน่วยงานที่มีหลักสูตรอบรมด้านความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพตามมาตรฐานของกรมวิทยาศาสตร์การแพทย์
ทั้งนี้หลักสูตรอบรมด้านความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพและการรักษาความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง เป็นหลักสูตรการอบรมสำหรับอาจารย์ นักศึกษา และบุคลากรที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสถานปฏิบัติการทั้งภายในและภายนอกของมหาวิทยาลัย ซึ่งหลักสูตรการอบรมนี้เป็นไปตามพระราชบัญญัติเชื้อโรคและพิษจากสัตว์ พ.ศ. 2558
การได้รับการรับรองในครั้งนี้สะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นของมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงในการยกระดับมาตรฐานด้านความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพ (Biosafety) และความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพขั้นสูง (Biosecurity) ภายในห้องปฏิบัติการวิจัย เพื่อให้การดำเนินงานด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ชีวภาพของมหาวิทยาลัยเป็นไปอย่างปลอดภัย มีคุณภาพ สอดคล้องกับมาตรฐานระดับประเทศ และขับเคลื่อนไปสู่การพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน

Mae Fah Luang University Receives Certification for Biosafety Training Program from the Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health
Mae Fah Luang University has been certified as an institution authorized to provide training programs in Biosafety and Biosecurity. The certification was granted under Program No. S.T. 0621.06/6157, dated 5 November 2025, by the Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health. The Research Administration Division, Mae Fah Luang University coordinated the application process and prepared all necessary documents leading to the official certification, in collaboration with the the Mae Fah Luang University Institutional Biosafety Committee (MFU-IBC). The certification is valid from 5 November 2025 to 5 November 2030.
The Department of Medical Sciences determined that Mae Fah Luang University demonstrates full readiness in terms of personnel, facilities, and the curriculum details, all of which meet the required standards. As a result, the university has been officially certified as an institution that offers training programs in biosafety in accordance with the standards of the Department of Medical Sciences.
The Biosafety and Biosecurity Training Program at Mae Fah Luang University is designed for faculty members, students, and personnel involved in laboratory operations both within and outside the university. The program complies with the Pathogens and Animal Toxins Act B.E. 2558 (2015).
This certification reflects the university’s strong commitment to enhancing standards of Biosafety and advanced Biosecurity within research laboratories. It reinforces the university’s dedication to ensuring that scientific and biological research activities are conducted safely, with high quality, in alignment with national standards, and in support of sustainable development.
